Gecko Investigations was founded in Bali in 2009 and is managed by its lead investigator A.J. Cacio who arrived in Indonesia in 2003. A.J. spent 18 years in South East Asia before earning an Associates degree in Investigation Technology and a Bachelor of Science in US Criminal Justice.

A.J. then became an intern at a leading Miami private investigation agency for 2 years before becoming a fully licensed Florida private investigator in 1999, as well as a notary public and process server in 2001.

A.J. has received training in covert video surveillance, fingerprinting techniques, questioned documents, polygraph examination and traffic homicides. A.J.’s other areas of expertise have included marital infidelity surveillances, missing persons, database research, criminal defense investigations, insurance fraud, background checking, wrongful deaths, nursing home neglect, skip tracing, and many more personal injury and civil litigation related investigations.

Furthermore, A.J. spent one year lending services to the Criminal Investigations Department (C.I.D) of a southern Florida police station.
